I was born (January 6, 1982) and raised in the beautiful city of Seattle, Washington. I went to The Evergreen School from kindergarten through sixth grade. At the time it was known as "Evergreen, school for the gifted," but they changed that title to its present form during my tenure there, a coincidence to be sure. From seventh through 12th grade, I attended Lakeside School. Currently, I am approaching graduation from Trinity University in San Antonio, Tex-ass. The next step is law school. Don't know where yet. Stay tuned.
My mom and dad have to be two of the greatest parents in the history of the world, and I'm not just saying that because they're going to see this site. My dad's a badass. Need proof? He's like king of the geeks; it's great. My mom's super cool too, though there's much less hard evidence of this; you're just going to have to trust me.
I also couldn't have asked for a better elder sibling. By no means do I expect him to be reading this page, so I'm not just saying this. It's always good when your older sibling doesn't leave the bar too high for you. At 24 years of age, my dear frere is currently residing in Washington, DC, working at Starbucks, and writing in his spare time: generally enjoying himself. I would link you to one or two of his sites, but they've gone missing since he left Rice. His sites are pretty fuckin' cool though (way better than this piece of shit).
Check out the view from my parents' house in Seattle. You can move the camera around, too. It's generally just fun to play with. Also, for further entertainment, check out my old site. My dad created this when I was like 12. Pretty hilarious.
Friends
My girlfriend ought to merit the first mention. She's great; I love her to death. We've been together since June of 2000; for anyone counting, that's a long time. For more insight, visit her livejournal.
I'm not about to list others, for fear of the shit storm that could come down on me pertaining to the order of them, or leaving somebody out, or whatever.
For stuff on my Seattle friends, and what we're up to, check out Laura's website.
Trinity
During my tenure at Trinity, the school celebrated its 60th anniversary in San Antonio. Connected to this anniversary celebration were a number of occurrences designed to alter the image of the University as seen by outsiders. As though the 166-foot bell tower standing in the middle of campus wasn't enough of a phallic symbol already, the administration decided it would be a brilliant idea to shoot white confetti out of the top of the structure. Genius. That particular alteration was only temporary; the permanent changes might have been even scarier. From this day forth, when Mother Nature puts out the lights on the city of San Antonio each night, Big Daddy Trinity turns the lights of the tower on. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, our tower is now lit up at night. Seems reasonable, since on your typical Friday or Saturday night, the average college student is lit up, too. Finally, the letterhead of Trinity University now features a likeness of Murchison Tower inside a cozy little bubble; this image is replete with metaphors too disconcerting for the current conversation. Additionally, we now refer to the city of our location as San Antonio, USA. San Antonio is no longer part of Texas apparently; I guess we were losing potential customers that way.
In all seriousness though, I've enjoyed my time here thoroughly; I wouldn't have been happier anywhere else. There is no substitute for the amiable and enlightening professors I've had the chance to work with, nor the wonderful friends I've met here. I'm going to miss this school, even if I don't miss Texas.
Law School
The next step in my journey that I like to call life will be law school. The definitive fact that law school will be my next step is relatively recent news; I received notification that I had been accepted to the University of San Diego on March 27. So that's exciting. Here's the dirt:
I figure the absolute worst thing that could possibly happen at this point is that I'm brutally forced to spend the next three years in San Diego. I can certainly think of worse fates.
Sappy Conclusion
So that's my page: not tragic, considering it's my first attempt. Feel free to email my dumb ass with comments about the page, suggestions for improvements, compliments, applause, praise, admiration, commendations (no commandments please), adoration, acclimation, etc.
Thanks for visiting,
Jeremy
This page was so much fun, I want to see it again!
